Gass Springs

General Information

Gas springs are a kind of tappet spring, which operates under high gas pressure. They may be fixed at any place ( every pressure is possible between the range of the Gas Spring type).
The Gas spring consists of a pressure cylinder (filled with Nitrogen and oil) in which slides a piston-rod sub-assembly. The self-contained pressured gas generates an axial force on the cylinder-rod system, making the whole device work as a compression spring. The rod speed is always under control with added dampening effect near the end of the rod extension stroke. Its weight is destined for lifting and balancing loads, its specific duty is counter weighting.
Gas springs with their easy to use, comfort and easy installation, ensuring your products are improved further.

There is almost always one Gas spring in dimension and strength suitable for your specific purpose, we are at your disposal in any technical support and will help you during application stage.

Different kinds of fittings are possible (welded or screwed).

Operating conditions

Operating temperatures range from -30°C to +80°C
Working cycles per minute: maximum quantity of 6 full reciprocating strokes. For higher rates please contact us.
Endurance behaviour based on 30.000 working cycles test: 15 % maximum performance loss (actual test results will vary according to stroke length and nominal force value).
Nominal data is given for +20°C reference temperature, For each step of 10°C, force variation is 3.4 %.
For example: F1 nominal force of 500N (at+ 20°C) will become 525N at +35°C and 440N at -16°C.
