When you pull the handle of the AE6S01-1K down, you are pulling the stud further out of the panel. This action squeezes the rubber of the AE6S01-1K against the panel, making the rubber swell as it is trapped between the panel and the nut of AE6S01-1K.
As the rubber of AE6S01-1K is swollen, the panel is pulled tightly against the frame, locking the panel.
