What are Key inserts?

Key inserts are also called keenserts.  Key inserts are used to reinforce a weaker metal, such as Aluminium.  Key inserts are threaded on the outside as well as on the inside.  Key inserts are installed with a key insert installation tool.

When installing a Key insert you first drill the diameter then you make the thread with a tap, then you install the key insert with help of the installation tool, that we stock for any metric size key insert.  Then you twist the tool and use a hammer to slam the keys in  the mother material.  Key inserts when properly installed will give you high tension loads.  We call them the Queen of Insert products.
