The pneumatic installation tool is designed to install many keenserts fast.  The important thing is that customers forget to read the manual and will only refer to the manual when the tool starts to show issues.

One of the most common errors is that companies use their standard lubricated oil air supply. This should be avoided, only standard air may be used, as otherwise the interior of the tool is damaged. In some occasions we receive a tool back, and we, as engineers, see the wear on specific interior components is caused by wrong air use.  We can therefore not accept a claim due to wrong use of the tool.

On the video you see what happens when you install 4000 to 5000 keenserts with the tool. You can observe that the keensert does not go in as easy as it should be. You see it blocking more frequently which should not be the case.

What is the solution:

1) Since you have installed many keenserts with the tool, the engine has dried up.
you should add two or three drops of oil into the grey lower part of the tool.
take care: the air hose should be disconnected prior to adding the oil.

2) You might have installed also your first keensert, since the pressure drops after the first installation, it is recommended to verify with a gauge the air pressure.
