What is the difference in size between a broaching blade and the Clins of a Clinsert?

The broaching blade is used to prebroach the holes where the clins will be tapped into.

This is very necessary when using Clinserts in hard parent material.

Otherwise there is a risk that when the Clins are tapped in, the parent material will be too hard and cause the Clinsert itself to deform and bend inwards.

In regards to the difference in size, for example CL428:

The Clins have a thickness of 1.26 mm

CL428 uses the broaching tool BT332-2, of which the broaching blades have a thickness of 1.26mm as well.

The width however of the broaching tool (=the distance of the blades) is a bit (by a couple of millimeters) larger than the thickness of the Clinsert.

By creating a little bit more room when pre broaching the holes where the Clins are tapped in,

The risk of deforming the Clinsert when tapping the clins in the prebroached holes.
